Day Camp & Summer Camp

DAY CAMP & SUMMER CAMP

CAMP SOMEWHERE: The Rogue Y has been running camp programs since the summer of 1948. During this time our camp programs have taken campers out of the city and into nature. We host camps from the coast to the mountains and from the north to the south of the Rogue Valley. We have a long heritage of connecting youth with the many outdoor opportunities that surround us. The identity of our camp has always come from our traditions, our commitment to the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, and our continued development of camps to engage youth. So we hope you will join us at Camp Somewhere, whether that is at the beach, at the lake, at the river or at all of them. We want every camper to experience the outdoors, to feel free from the routines of the school year, to get dirty, and most importantly to have fun. We will be spending the majority of our time outside no matter what time of year you join us.  There are many different programs available serving youth in kindergarten through those entering the twelfth grade. Financial Assistance is available. For prices, times and details read the 2018-2019 School Year Day Camp brochure and the 2019 Summer Camp Guide which has all the information.

School Year Day Camp and Summer Camp Programs

Day Camp for youth in kindergarten to ninth grade is a great way to experience the fun and excitement that camp has to offer while still being able to come home each night to share the day’s stories with family and friends. The YMCA offers day camp during Thanksgiving break, Winter break and Spring break.  Our Summer Camp Programs have options for all grades, preschool to high school:

  • Day Camp is for youth entering first through ninth grade.  Youth will enjoy weekly field trips and great themes that make for a memorable experience.  There is always a weekly schedule – week 3.
  • Specialty Camps during summer are offered as a unique, specialized adventure for youth.  2019 Specialty Camps include: 1-day intro to rafting camp, 3-day rafting camp, rock climbing camp, chef camp, coastal camp, Exploregon, Page to Stage drama camp, and Camp WinterSpring.
  • Resident Camp is a week-long traditional overnight camping experience away from home with the same bunch of kids. It helps youth and teens learn self-esteem, personal responsibility and how to rely on others. There is a mini-camp for younger children and a “Spoons” group of teens who help with chores in exchange for a reduced rate. Resident Camp is an experience that you never forget. For prices, times, details and contact information read the 2019 Summer Camp Guide.
