FREE PROGRAMS
These free programs are open to everyone at no charge plus the YMCA has financial assistance so anyone can become a member of the Y or participate in Y programs.
Family Night
An evening of free, fun family time every month on the 3rd Friday starting at 6pm. Activities include swimming, volleyball, basketball, racquetball and wallyball (volleyball in a racquetball court). You can visit the youth center for billiards, foosball, art and video games. Try rock climbing while staff belays you in our climbing gym or enjoy a swim in our large swimming pool with a slide and a giant hot tub.
Running Club
This club meets Monday and Wednesday mornings. It is designed for runners to join together for a fun and social run. The pace, course and length of the run is based on the participants’ level of fitness. Just wear your running shoes and meet in the Y lobby.
Potluck Lunch
Come and enjoy a healthy lunch at the Y on the last Friday of each month from 12:30-1:30pm. It is a simple way to meet new friends so bring yourself and a side dish to share.
Nutrition Workshop
When you eat healthy food you feel better, look better, have more energy, think more clearly and enjoy life more! Learn how to eat more healthful and make better food choices for yourself and your family. Join us each month at the Y. Learn dates and times on the Nutrition Workshop flyer.
Jog Your Memory Class
Join us each Monday from 9:00-10:00am for this socially interactive, mental fitness program designed for healthy older adults. The primary goals of this class are to exercise and stimulate parts of the brain while learning about aging and memory. Jog Your Memory Class integrates challenging puzzles and interactive games with scientific information on aging. New and different exercises are offered each week.
YMCA Open House (April)
Held every year on the second Saturday in April on the same day as the Pear Blossom Festival in conjunction with the YMCA’s signature event, the Pear Blossom Run and Mayor’s Cup Fun Run. A free pancake feed after exploring the booths and games in the gym.
Halloween at the Y (October)
Trunk-or-Treat is held every year on Halloween night from 6:00-8:00pm in the Y parking lot. With over 30 decorated cars and 500 kids in costume, this event is a safe, fun, holiday celebration for the whole family. There are three ways to join in: 1) Donate candy and treats, 2) Decorate your car trunk like you would your front porch and pass out candy, or 3) Bring your kids to trick-or-treat from car to car.
Cookie Contest & Jingle Bell Jog (December)
This two part event is held on the Monday one week before Christmas. You can either bake and submit a plate of cookies to win prizes, be a tasting judge or just come to enjoy music, fellowship and eating homemade treats. The judging occurs in the afternoon then we gather in the evening where one group runs and the other group walks, all enjoying a neighborhood decorated with Christmas lights.
