Participants learn the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies.  Requirements for completion:

• Attend all class sessions
• Demonstrate competency in skills and activities
• Demonstrate competency in three scenarios
• Correctly answer 80% in each section of the final written exam

Upon completion of the class and final exam participant will receive an American Red Cross Universal certificate Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer valid for 2 years.

Each participant must purchase their own Pocket Rescue Mask.

*Prerequisites: 15yrs and swim 200 yards combined with 2 minute tread water (must be comfortable with face in the water while swimming).
