Pear Blossom Run
The Pear Blossom Runs presented by Asante is the YMCA’s largest fundraising event, bringing together runners and walkers from all over Oregon and beyond to enjoy either the 10-Mile or 5K race while raising funds to the support the work of the Rogue Valley Family YMCA.
Join us each year on the second Saturday in April for this annual event as we take over downtown and bring our running (or walking) to the streets. All the races are concluded by 11:00am for the start of the Pear Blossom Parade. This is truly a Saturday in Downtown Medford that you don’t want to miss.
Shirt sales only (without an event registration) will be available at packet pickup or on race day at the start/finish line while supplies last.
Sponsorship A $500 - Pear Blossom Run
The annual Pear Blossom Runs are held on the second Saturday in April in conjunction with the Pear Blossom Festival. On average the Pear Blossom Run & Mayor’s Cup runs have about 4,500 runners from 15 states engaging 20 local elementary schools in friendly competitions to encourage sign-ups and winning schools get cash awards for their P.E. programs.
The Pear Blossom Run & Mayors Cup benefit the Rogue Valley Family YMCA Strong Communities Fund. The fund provides program and membership scholarships so all youth and families can participate at the Y regardless of their income. This fund currently awards over $450,000 a year to youth and families right here in the Rogue Valley.
This sponsorship level receives the following:
- Name/Logo listed on the Pear Blossom Run website Sponsors section
- Booth at the Packet Pick-up event on the Friday before the run
- Your Name mentioned in social media posts
- Your materials, samples, or goodies placed by us in the runner’s goodie bags.
